How to create the template

  • To create a Thank You Letter, go to Setup--> Templates
  • Then click Add
  • Create a name for your template
  • Click on the Thank You Letter Field filter to include the correct fields for your thank you letter.  Fields will include the donor name, address, value, date of donation, receipt number and charity ID
  • Next create your template content and click Add to save


Once your template is created, you are ready to merge the letter with your donation criteria


How to merge your template

  • Go Reports --> Receivables --> Thank You Letter
  • Set your filter criteria for date range, accounts, and values
  • You can even add a receipt number if you would like to use this report also as a receipt
  • Next select your template
  • From here, you can either print or save the template through your browser for all or for those without email addresses, or you can email the thank you / receipt with an email subject
