How to Start:

To setup your text message system in RakefetOnline-Hybrid, you will need to follow the following steps:

  1. Visit Twilio's website:  https://www.twilio.com/ 
  2. Open an account for your congregation, or try the free trial HERE.
  3. Once your account is created, you can copy your account SID and paste it into your congregation's Profile in RakefetOnline-Hybrid.
  4. In addition to the account SID, you will also need to copy and paste the authentication code and provide a cell number for the origins of the text messages on behalf of your congregation.



How to Create a Text in RakefetOnline-Hybrid:

In RakefetOnline-Hybrid, you can sent Quick SMS Messages (Text Messages) and SMS Templates (Template Text Messages).

To create a SMS Template Text Message:

  1. Go to Setup --> SMS Templates
  2. Click Add
  3. Name your SMS Template
  4. Enter the content, which may also include the provided merge tokens like "Member Balance"
  5. Click Save



To create a Quick SMS Text Message:

  1. Go to the Family Page
  2. Filter for families or individuals, and for those families and individuals with cell numbers
  3. Click Run Report
  4. Click on the button Send Quick SMS
  5. Enter your message
  6. Click Send

To send an SMS Template:

  1. Go to the Family Page
  2. Filter for families or individuals, and for those families and individuals with cell numbers
  3. Click Run Report
  4. Click on the drop down SMS Template to select your message
  5. Click Send
